It is worth noting that on 8 November 2021, at the initiative of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan to UNESCO, Lankaran was included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network under the “Gastronomy” category. The Network currently brings together 408 cities from around 100 countries across the fields of design, literature, music, film, crafts and folk art, gastronomy, and media arts.
The conference in Pohang was held to promote cooperation and the exchange of experience among cities included in the Network. Presentations were also delivered by delegations representing Pohang in South Korea, Usuki in Japan, and Yangzhou in China.
